Social Media

Recently I have heard many people talking about whether Social Media is beneficial or not to a public figure.  Social Media is a powerful tool for advertising.  People doesn’t know how to take advantage of this, they use a public and professional social network as a personal network.  Public and professional networks should NOT contain pictures of food you cooked, an injury you got, the use of bad language unless your work is related to any of these topics.

Web pages like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google+ not only are a great tool for creating a network, but for advertising. Many benefits of social media in advertising are:
  • Branding – it helps the brand get recognize.
  • Followers – As new people follow and recommend the page, more people will follow.
  • Exposure to the product.
  • Money – advertising any product is cheaper and most of the times free.
  • Updates – easier, and fastest way to give any update of the product.
  •  Viral – almost anything goes viral these days, so any good campaign can have a good exposure.

Of course, these aren’t the only benefits, but for me they are the most important.

Like I said before, well-used media is beneficial and ensure the growth of any product, artist or company. It just needs to be use with a purpose and a strategy. Try not to mix your personal life with your professional. This can lead to misunderstandings and dislikes.

Remember, the best way to attract customers is to have the most exposure possible and be connected with the consumers.
